Avalon Singapore 2011: 12 Parties to review up the F1 Singapore Weekend Festivals: Avalon At Large GO! returns after a successful debut last year that saw more than 16,000 partygoers going crazy over acts like Chemical Brothers, Empire Of The Sun and Steve Aoki last year. You may very well bump into Edison Chen. Again.
The Bloody Beetroots, Benny Benassi, Ludacris, LMFAO and Sander Van Doorn drop it like it's hot.

Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Festival: The Worldwide Festival is curated by Gilles Peterson - music lover, broadcaster, DJ, producer, record collector, creator and owner of several record labels such as Acid Jazz, Talkin' Loud and Brownswood. After a successful run held in the south of France in June, the three-day festival returns to our island for the fourth time, bringing with it the best in the electronic music business.

Who: Ramadanman, Brandt Brauer Frick, Jeremy Ellis, Kyoto Jazz Massive and, of course, the man himself, armed with an arsenal of jazz, disco, soul, house and dub step. Sept 16 to 18

DJ Shadow: Widely credited as a key figure in developing the experimental instrumental hip-hop style of the past decade. The widely lauded American producer-DJ first gained fame with the release of his highly acclaimed debut album, Entroducing..., which was constructed entirely from music samples. DJ SmithAgentSmith: DJ SmithAgentSmith is a Hollywood-based DJ, producer and live remix pioneer. Utilising a completely fresh set-up he created with Ableton Live, Smith is able to remix tracks on the go, and create new mash-ups live in the club. Catch the man as he churns out a medley of dance, hip-hop, house, pop, R&B and rock. Sept 23 Where: Filter. If you manage to get into the members-only club, that is. Pangaea: Conceived by American nightclub impresario Michael Ault, Pangaea will be opening its doors next Thursday and unveil all its excellence during the Formula 1 weekend. Pangaea occupies Marina Bay Sands' Crystal Pavillion and you can be sure to have a truly unique experience at this ultra-lounge. Specially designed fittings and furnishings made of visually eye-popping materials and fabrics also adorn the lounge. Who knows? Perhaps Ault may pop by his debut creation in Singapore next week.

The Podium Lounge: The official G H Mumm champagne venue this Formula 1 season plays host to race drivers, celebrities, Asian royalty, models, ambassadors and musicians at this after-race party. DJ Silva: With a clear talent for body-and-soul-shaking tunes, DJ Silva has quickly become one of Japan's most sought-after club DJs, incorporating scat and live vocals into the house mix during her sets. ATB:  German producer-DJ ATB makes his way down to Singapore for a one-night only gig this race season. Also known as Andre Tanneberger, ATB has been described as one of the most important producers and musicians in trance music. He's worked on albums by Heather Nova, Moby, William Orbit, and on collaborations with fellow DJs Armin van Buuren and Dash Berlin. Ranked No 11 in DJ Mag's Top 100 poll last year. Amber Lounge: The only party associated with F1 as it follows the brand the world over, hosting parties in different destinations on the F1 calendar. This VIP party extravaganza delivers a free flow of bubbles, rubbing of shoulders with famous folk, and aural pleasures courtesy of F1 favourite DJ JackE. Last year, 24 Formula 1 drivers, alongside celebrities Rupert Grint, Marion Caunter and Sir Richard Branson, were spotted living it up. Kele Okereke (Bloc Party), Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco: Kele is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of popular indie rock band Bloc Party. The British musician has since branched out and currently records and performs solo, embracing his love of dance music and electronica. Also, a little birdie told us that the members of Bloc Party will be joining Kele after his solo set. Fingers crossed. Digitalism, made up of German dance punk duo Jens and Isi, has remixed tracks for the likes of Daft Punk, Tiga, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and The Presets, and you can expect the duo to drop magic in the form of their singles Zdarlight, Idealistic, Pogo and Jupiter Room. Simian Mobile Disco are James Ford and Jas Shaw, two leading lights who have worked with artistes such as Florence & The Machine, Klaxons and Arctic Monkeys. Experts in techno, electro, house and the art of making you dance.
