Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is accusing British Airways airline staff of stealing a her pair of "sentimental and not replaceable" sunglasses.

Upon returning from the Cannes Film Festival this weekend, Kardashian realized that a few items had gone missing from her luggage while in transit.

"Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine!" Kardashian, 31, tweeted on Tuesday. "Some things are sentimental & not replaceable."

TMZ reported that the main item allegedly stolen from Kardashian's luggage was a pair of vintage sunglasses, which were given to the reality TV star by her father Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003.

Sources also said Kardashian was down an expensive purse and a piece of Tumi luggage.

London's Heathrow airport has something of a reputation for missing items, once earning the nickname Thiefrow, reports said. But British Airways officials said they are working hard to investigate Kardashian's complaint.

A spokesperson for the airline, which is expected to process 50,000 extra bags a day as the Olympic Games kick off in London, said, "Kardashian travelled from Nice to Heathrow Terminal 5 to Los Angeles. Terminal 5 has some of the most sophisticated automated baggage systems in the world, which are able to monitor bags every minute of their time in the terminal.

"At this stage, we have discovered no evidence to suggest that the bag in question was interfered with at Heathrow."
