Cross Country Road Trip, Road Trip Soundtrack: DJ Qualls‘ “love interest” in Road Trip, actress Mia Amber Davis, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 36.
According to TMZ, who spoke with Mia’s husband, Michael Yard, the actress underwent knee surgery on Monday to correct an ongoing issue from an old college basketball injury.
Michael apparently spoke to Mia on Tuesday morning and said she sounded in good spirits, but she was taken to the hospital later suffering from dizziness.
Soon after, Michael was told his wife had died.
“I want to know what happened to my wife,” he told TMZ.
And Mia’s Road Trip co-star DJ took to his Twitter page to express sadness over her death.
“Mia Davis, the love interest in my first movie, Road Trip, has passed,” DJ reportedly Tweeted. “I’m so sad She will always be a meaningful person in my life path. RIP.”
