Craigslist: New Craigslist Scam: A new scam on Internet site Craiglist is leaving short on cash and their trash being dumped illegally.
According to the most recent victims, a person posts a listing on Craiglist claiming they will come haul away your trash or other items to the dump.
In some cases, victims have paid $60 for the service.
Instead of taking items to be properly disposed of, trash is being dumped on private and county lands.
The Jackson County Sheriff's office is encouraging people to always know and trust anyone you leave your trash with.
If you do choose to hire someone to haul it away for you, print out the ad and contact information for anyone hired.
