CNN Gabrielle Giffords: US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Released From Hospital: Gabrielle US Congresswoman shot in the head in January has been released from hospital to begin outpatient treatment after improvements in her condition. 

According to the sources, Giffords will move to League City, to a home owned by her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly.She struggles to speak and walk, and will need daily, intensive therapy. TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital said in a statement that Giffords, 41, would soon begin outpatient treatment at the same facility.
