World Music Day 2011: The origins of the term world music (in relation to the selling of this type of music) began in 1982 when World Music Day(Fete de la Musique) was initiated in France. World Music Day has been celebrated on 21 June every year since then.
World music day is celebrated in Armenia for already fifth time. Today Yerevan residents will have opportunity to listen to classic, rock, jazz, folk and other types of music during the whole day.RA Ministry of Culture has launched a range of events, which have started on 11:30 and will last up to midnight.
